The area boasts over 51 acres of community parkland. To that end, the City of Payette houses 9 developed parks and approximately a 1/2 mile of greenway trail. Enjoy playgrounds, athletic fields, movies in the park, picnic shelters, and the indoor/outdoor pools or special events. Payette is proud to be home to the Harmon Killebrew Miracle Field – the first of its kind in the state! The Snake River is at our backdoor and is a treasure for outdoor enthusiasts, jet skiers, boaters, fisherman, and much, much more. Centennial Park is the site for our North End Marina, used by boaters in all seasons. Payette County Recreation Department oversees activities from typical – baseball, T-ball, soccer, flag football – to nature-based enrichment programs and non-traditional sports. Also a must see is Scotch Pines Golf Course – Payette is known for its great golf, and an excellent course is right here. This public golf course includes a champion 18 hole golf course, driving range, putting green, practice chipping green with practice bunker and newly remodeled clubhouse.
Nestled in the middle of Scotch Pines Golf Course lies the Payette Municipal Airport. The airport, just north of Payette, has a small-town charm where people always smile and call each other by first name. Many pilots and non-pilots alike have dubbed it the “friendliest little airport in the west”. Pilots from all over the Northwest come to Payette just to play a round of golf and have lunch at the Scotch Pines clubhouse, as do many residents and business people.
